Mauritius has opposite seasons to Europe, but it doesn’t have four distinct seasons. Instead, the year is divided into three main periods:
- Hot (October–December)
- Hot and Humid (January–April)
- Warm and Dry (May–September)
How to choose the best time for your wedding
- November to April: Perfect if you love warmth and want to escape European winter. Daytime temperatures reach up to 33°C, and the sea is around 29°C. It’s also the season for tropical fruits like mangoes and lychees. However, cyclones can occasionally occur between January and March, though they’re rare and usually harmless if you stay indoors.
- May to October: Ideal for cooler weather, hiking, and outdoor activities. Temperatures range from 24°C to 30°C, and the sea stays between 23°C and 27°C. Rain is also less frequent, especially in the north.
Extra Tips
- Daylight Hours: The longest days are in December and the shortest are in June.
- Microclimate: The weather can vary a lot within short distances. It might rain in one area while it’s sunny just 15 minutes away by car. So don’t be too quick to trust the weather forecast-due to the microclimate, rain in one area often means sunshine just around the corner.

What services do you offer?
We organize various types of ceremonies, including civil weddings, symbolic ceremonies, vow renewals, church weddings, and marriage proposals.
While we don’t book fights or accommodations, we do provide full wedding planning services—from the paperwork to choosing the location and setting everything up on the day.
What are the payment options?
We keep things simple: payments are made via bank transfer to our Mauritian account, either in MUR or EUR—whichever works best for you.
To secure your wedding date, we ask for a 30% deposit, with the remaining 70% due one month before your special day.
There are no hidden fees—what you see is what you get. We believe in full transparency so you can plan with peace of mind and no surprises.
Can we organize our wedding through Whatsapp?
While WhatsApp is great for quick chats, we’ve found that email keeps things much clearer and more organized for you throughout the planning process. It allows you to easily track your choices, revisit important details, and access all the documents we send in one place—without endless scrolling.
Of course, if you ever feel the need to talk things through, we’re always happy to arrange a quick call. But for the actual planning and paperwork, having everything in writing helps us keep your wedding beautifully on track—and ensures nothing gets missed.
How far in advance should we book your services?
For civil weddings, we recommend booking at least 2 to 3 months in advance. This gives us enough time to gather the necessary documents and make all arrangements with the civil status offce.
For symbolic ceremonies and marriage proposals, bookings can often be made just 3 to 4 days before the event, depending on availability.
We also specialise in last-minute weddings and proposals, especially for symbolic ceremonies and vow renewals. While civil weddings require documents to be submitted at least eight weeks before the date, feel free to get in touch even if you’re short on time—we’ll always do our best to make it work.
Do you offer customizable packages?
Absolutely! We understand that every couple has unique needs and preferences, so we offer customisable packages to suit your vision and budget. Whether you need full-service planning, day-of coordination, or something in between, we’ll tailor a package to fit your requirements. The four packages we described above are our most booked wedding packages in 2025 and top-rated by our couples. Please note that every component can be removed or modified to match your ideal wedding.

Can you book a hotel for us?
Happily Forever is a wedding planner agency, not a travel one. We do not offer booking services for now. However, we can surely send you a list of recommended hotels if needed.
